Pet Play-Date - Call Us (912) 205-5843
Why schedule pet play-dates?
Most of us are out of the home for at least 40 hours in a given week due to our work schedules. Since many of us are unable to bring our furry friends with us to work, we have only a few options: leave them at home alone, take them to a family members house, or take them to doggy day-care. The first option is stressful for both the pet and owner as there is no contact between you during that time, and most pets love the attention of their owner. The second option can be difficult as well, dealing with scheduling and transportation to and from often proves nightmare-ish. The last choice is not only difficult, as it exposes your dog to a new environment that they may not react well in, but it can also be rather expensive. In place of these options Pet Sitting Savannah offers play-dates with your pet, also called home visits. Our experienced staff will come to your pet, in the comfort of your home, and spend time giving them the attention they need and deserve. These pet care sessions are typically a half hour in length, meaning they aren't as costly as doggy day-care, nor do you have to worry about your pet being in an unfamiliar place.
What is the difference between a walk and a play-date?
The key difference is the focus of each service. Whereas our walks are focused on getting your dog outside to "take care of business," and maybe meet some friends, our play times are geared towards one-on-one interaction with your pet in their home. Many of clients tend to schedule play-dates for their puppies, as long walks out in the neighborhood tend to be overly strenuous and exhausting at that age. The home visit provides a safe space for the puppy to play and explore. We make sure that all "business" is taken care of outside, before heading back in for fun. Puppies are not the only ones that benefit from this attention, however, dogs of all ages can benefit from these home visits. Sometimes our pets are unable to go out for longer walks due to medical and health issues, but that doesn't mean they need any less attention. Home visits are an important part of any pet care routine.
These home visits also allow our pet sitters more opportunity to help with small chores around your house: picking up the newspaper, watering plants, and any other small tasks agreed upon.
It is our hope at Pet Sitting Savannah that you allow us the opportunity to take care of your pets, and show you what it means to be a part of the PSS family.
